PRECISE-Kenya’s star of the month is Emily Mwadime. Emily is a study nurse who works at our Rabai office. When two of our seasoned study nurses left the project earlier this year to pursue other opportunities, Emily stepped in to fill the void. She did an excellent job in this capacity, and she has subsequently been promoted to clinical lead at the Rabai study site.
Emily’s typical day at the office as the clinical lead comprises of the following tasks: Assisting the study coordinator in inducting new staff on the study processes; assisting with the supervision of nurses and enumerators, the management of the team duty Rota, and other assigned tasks; organizing and conducting refresher trainings to the staff as well as coordinating data cleaning and timely resolution of data queries.
“I am thrilled to be a part of the PRECISE NETWORK,” Emily says, “since it aims to develop and strengthen the study team professionally, in an environment that recognizes effort and commitment.”
“Emily has been instrumental in training and orientation of the new staff especially in PRECISE Dyad. Her commitment and hard work earned her the position of the clinical lead in Rabai”-Doreen Admin Assistant. “She is also thorough with her job”.
